6-Day Safari in Tarangire, Manyara & Serengeti

Overview

Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro – Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, your EASAguide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha about an hour drive.   The rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere and recover from the long plane ride.

This arriving day you will stay at Masailand Safari Lodge

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Today you depart after breakfast to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. This park still has an authentic safari atmosphere. The hilly landscape, with Baobab trees scattered against the blue sky, is breathtaking. Witness the world’s largest concentration of elephants. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around the swamps you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. You will enjoy the park’s varied habitat which attracts a wide variety of animals, including elephants, buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras and flamingos. The shallow Hippo Pool offers excellent opportunities for hippo sightings and you will have a spectacular view of the Rift Valley Escarpment.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Transfer to Serengeti National Park

This magnificent natural showground contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa, including lions, hippopotamus, elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest, Gazelles and number of birds. Because the grass is short, the game is easily spotted. After the Ngorongoro crater we will be heading direct to the Serengeti National park where we will go straight to our camp (with game drives en route) for the night ready for the new day to spend in the largest park in Africa – Serengeti

Day 5 Serengeti National Park

We start our day with a very early game drive in Serengeti, Morning is the best time to experience the quietness of the wilderness and spot animals looking for their breakfast and later return to the accommodation for a late breakfast, make sure you pack your camera, because you will not want to forget this day. Its stunning landscape is well known to the most world’s documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The yearly wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Not only will you see the migration but also Serengeti is full of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be astonished by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park. If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon tour It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.

Day 6: Serengeti to Arusha

After breakfast at the Camp, depart with picnic Lunch, we will be having a game drive on route while heading back to Arusha, ready for your departure.
